INDUSTRIAL PRACTICES ON CAMPUS

The focus of Industry Practices on Campus is to motivate and equip the students to a realization, that dreams can be turned into reality, with a career of their choice, and that it is all in their mind to achieve what they want to achieve in their dream career.

In these highly competitive times, young Students need to possess a variety of academic, vocational, personal and social skills, to taste not just temporal success, but to have an edge over the rest of the world.

We in Hood understand these needs best, in terms of the soft skills required over and above the functional knowledge and skills that they acquire through the extensive academic programs offered by Institutions.

One question that's daunting every Global Organization today: Why the increased emphasis on soft skills?

The age-old recruitment process followed was to have a great education, coupled with some add-on computer courses that could get a person a decent job in a decent place.

But today, that picture has changed; the concept of "competitive edge" now focuses on the softer aspects of the Employee: their behavioral competencies, referred also to as soft skills. There is no questioning the fact that students in our country have a relatively higher amount of technical know-how and process competence, but will this suffice in this ever expanding global arena?

Well, the answer is embedded within: No, there is a definite need for every individual to understand his or her attributes, and utilize that to their fullest to offer superior performance in any and every situation.
